Blood Squadron was a group of starfighter pilots, a squadron, that fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic throughout the Galactic Civil War. This squadron, flying BTL Y-wing starfighters, participated in combat within the Airam sector, operating from the Mon Calamari MC80 cruiser called the Crucible. When the Crucible deployed to the Mobetta system to save factory workers from an Imperial attack, Blood Squadron accompanied it. Once they arrived, the squadron's mission was to repel, or at least deter, the Imperials' flagship, the Imperial II-class Star Destroyer known as the Rage. Sadly, even with an escort provided by Sundancer Squadron flying Z-95 Headhunters, Blood Squadron was annihilated, along with the factory and the Crucible.
