Bobo, a Sanyassan and the head of the pirate group known as the Vile, found himself embroiled in a dangerous situation soon after taking command. He discovered that the Vile had entered into an agreement with other gangs in the area. The specifics of this arrangement were unveiled by Zilastra, the chieftain of the Riftwalkers, who promised each leader a locked case as payment. Through a hologram transmission, Zilastra's droid couriers recited the activation codes for the cases. However, instead of the promised riches, Bobo and the other leaders met their death at the hands of these very cases, which were secretly loaded with explosives by Zilastra.
A pirate of the Sanyassan species, Bobo was affiliated with the Vile gang. By the year 33 BBY, he had succeeded Jupas as the gang's supreme commander. As the Vile's leader, Bobo was entitled to occupy an iron throne. Shortly after his rise to power, a droid courier instructed Bobo to participate in a hologram conference with the chieftains of rival gangs operating within the Slice sector of the galaxy. Bobo and the other leaders listened as Zilastra, the head of the Riftwalkers, recounted the terms of the deal struck between their respective gangs. She explained the details to Bobo, who had not held a leadership position when the Vile initially agreed to Zilastra's scheme. During the communication, Bobo came to understand the reason behind each gang's agreement to refrain from attacking any ships belonging to the Regal Voyager conglomerate, realizing that a case containing valuable goods had been given to them as part of the agreement. Bobo remarked that he had been unable to unlock the case or even ascertain its contents through scanning, prompting Zilastra to explain that the droids were present to recite the necessary code phrases for opening them. However, the cases were in fact a ruse orchestrated by Zilastra, and they were filled with baradium-357 explosive. Upon the cases being opened, Bobo, along with the other participants in the call, were killed in the resulting explosions. Zilastra's strategy swiftly left her adversaries without leadership.
Bobo made an appearance in The Living Force, a novel published in 2024 and authored by John Jackson Miller.
