Bola Yomm was a Human woman from the planet Roon; she was Nilz Yomm's spouse. Auren Yomm was their only child. After Auren's victory in the Roon Colonial Games, Koong, who was the Governor of the Tawntoom province and a competitor who lost, used a germ known as rooze to poison the Umboo province where the Yomm family resided. Bola contracted the disease, but Nilz and Auren did not. Furthermore, Koong inadvertently poisoned himself. Nilz successfully created a cure to save his wife, but Koong was unable to be saved and died.
