Auren Yomm Baobab, with a pronunciation of /AW-ren YOM BAY-oh-bab; IPA: /ˌɔ.ɹɛn ˈjɑm be(i).o.bab/, was a female Human hailing from the planet of Roon. Born to Nilz and Bola Yomm, Auren Yomm achieved recognition as a skilled athlete by the age of fifteen, leading the Umboo Racing Team during the Roon Colonial Games in the year 15 BBY. It was during this competition that she first encountered and formed a friendship with Mungo Baobab, the individual she would eventually marry, along with his two droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO.
Auren Yomm, a Human female, was born in 30 BBY to Nilz Yomm, a local doctor, and Bola in Umboo, a self-governing province located on the Outer Rim planet Roon. By the time she reached fifteen years old, she had become a proficient athlete, specializing in the drainsweeper event, which is a three-part relay race conducted on rockhoppers, during the Roon Colonial Games of 15 BBY. En route to the Games, Auren and her father Nilz observed the crash of a cloudcraft operated by Mungo Baobab, a merchant originating from the planet Manda. After rescuing Baobab and his droids, R2-D2 and C-3PO, from a group of bothersome, yet harmless mudmen, Auren extended an invitation for the off-worlders to join her and her father at the Roon Games, offering them an opportunity to find someone capable of repairing their damaged vessel. Her original team consisted of her friend Gee Long and the droid BIX. Governor Bisad Koong of Tawntoom province attempted to undermine them by removing Long and Bix from the competition, but Mungo Baobab and C-3PO took their places in the race and secured the championship alongside Auren. Subsequently, Koong contaminated Umboo province with a chemical substance known as rooze. As Auren and her father were accompanying Mungo and his droids to the Pinnacles of Felth, they remained unaffected by the poisonous agent; however, Auren's mother, Bola, fell victim to the attack and became ill. Due to a malfunction on his ship, Koong also succumbed to rooze poisoning and assigned Gaff the task of abducting Nilz Yomm, a doctor, and his daughter in order to develop an antidote. In the meantime, Mungo Baobab, C-3PO, and R2-D2 tracked Governor Koong to the Fortress of Tawntoom, where Auren and her father were being held captive. Following their rescue, the Yomms fled Tawntoom as Koong's fortress froze and Koong himself disintegrated as a consequence of the rooze.
Some time after their shared experiences on Roon, Auren Yomm and Mungo Baobab were married and established their home on the planet Quilken.
