Bomber Trap

A Bomber Trap represented a specific kind of Starship Trap. Both the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire made use of this particular trap to safeguard their planetary territories, such as on Tatooine. Functionally, these round mechanisms began as a proximity sensor upon deployment. However, once the sensor was activated, they transitioned into a homing beacon. Subsequently, faction bombers were summoned to saturate the region around the trap with bombs for a brief duration, effectively destroying adversaries. Furthermore, Bomber Traps incorporated a holoprojector that visually indicated the category of starship that would be dispatched. In the case of Alliance traps, BTL Y-wing starfighters were contacted, whereas Imperial traps signaled TIE/sa bombers.
