Following the uprising on Durren, Bortrek pilfered several artifacts belonging to them, intending to sell them to Sandro the Hook. Furthermore, he stumbled upon the escape pod employed by Marcopius to flee the Borealis. Showing no respect, he ejected Marcopius's corpse from the airlock and appropriated the droids C-3PO and R2-D2. Bortrek disassembled R2's legs and repurposed him as a navicomputer, while he utilized 3PO to assess the value of his stolen goods. Subsequently, after becoming intoxicated, Bortrek lost consciousness when R2 secretly decreased the oxygen levels on the Pure Sabacc. After the droids seized control of the vessel, Bortrek was compelled to transport 3PO and R2 to Nim Drovis, where he abandoned them. In addition, he had a former wife.
