Brok Ziam was a male Human residing on Tatooine during the era of the Galactic Civil War. He held the position of Director of Operations within the White Thranta Shipping Company, which served as a facade for the unlawful operations conducted by Jabba the Hutt's criminal organization.
Leading up to the Battle of Yavin, individuals affiliated with the White Thranta Shipping, under the direction of Brok Ziam, became entangled in morally dubious medical activities. They were carrying out illicit experiments on sentient species within a bunker located beneath the White Thranta Shipping offices, unbeknownst to Jabba the Hutt. Ziam's objective was to leverage the White Thranta Shipping Company to amass sufficient wealth to eventually gain independence from Jabba. In 1 ABY, Reimos Taligg, an employee of Jabba, commissioned a spacer to infiltrate the computer systems of the White Thranta bunker, ultimately uncovering the truth. Reimos then instructed the spacer to interrogate Brok Ziam, but Ziam's refusal led to his demise at the hands of the spacer.
Brok Ziam appeared as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Brok Ziam was integrated into the game as part of the "Legacy Quest" with the launch of "Publish 25," also known as the "New Game Enhancements," which occurred on November 15, 2005.
Within the game, Brok originally possessed the longer surname, Ziamzun. For reasons that remain unclear, the developers shortened the name Brok Ziamzun to Brok Ziam in the "Chapter 2" update, which was released on August 1, 2006. Furthermore, the Mos Eisley portion of the "Legacy Quest" underwent a revision upon the release of the "Chapter 3" update, on September 27, 2006, and Brok Ziam's quest was significantly altered, although the fundamental storyline remained consistent.
