Bron Burs

Bron Burs was a member of a species characterized by spiky protrusions on the back of their head and a pair of sharp points framing their mouth. Originating from the southern regions of the planet called Nentan, he served as a commando for the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War against the forces of the Galactic Empire, ultimately retiring from that line of work. Burs was known for his exceptional marksmanship and preference for solitude, and he maintained an intermittent partnership with Debnoli, a skilled marksman. By the time Bron Burs ended his career as a commando, his body was covered in prominent scars. He relied on his gut feelings for survival. Burs also exhibited some Force-attunement. His eyes were white, and his skin was green.

Behind the scenes

The origin of Bron Burs can be traced back to the production of the 1983 motion picture Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi. Numerous maquettes of alien beings were conceived for the scenes within Jabba the Hutt's desert palace. One of these, ultimately discarded before the film's release, was described as resembling "a potential rhino/elephant head." In 1998, the Decipher Star Wars Customizable Card Game's Special Edition Limited expansion introduced a card that identified the alien as Bron Burs, thereby incorporating the maquette into Star Wars Legends canon.
