Bror Jace

Bror Jace, a Human male, initially joined the second iteration of Rogue Squadron, briefly holding the designation of Rogue Four.

Biography

Hailing from Thyferra, Jace was a significant figure within the Zaltin Corporation. His inclusion in the squadron stemmed from a combination of his piloting abilities and political considerations. The New Republic, aiming to maintain positive relations with the bacta cartels, strategically placed a representative from each corporation within the squadron. Although committed to the New Republic's cause, Bror possessed a considerable ego, firmly believing himself to be the most talented among Rogue Squadron's new members. Throughout his time with the squadron, he developed a rivalry with Corran Horn, whom Bror saw as the only new pilot capable of truly challenging him. Ultimately, Bror emerged victorious in this competition, achieving twenty-two kills compared to Corran's twenty-one.

Following the Second Battle of Borleias, Bror received news from his home, informing him of the family patriarch's impending death. However, during his journey home, his X-wing was forcibly removed from hyperspace by the Imperial Interdictor cruiser known as the Black Asp, resulting in its destruction. The squadron later discovered that this event was a carefully orchestrated deception to bring him back to Thyferra, where he would collaborate with the Ashern rebels within Zaltin to orchestrate a civil war against Xucphra, Zaltin's competitor, and Ysanne Isard.

Jace rejoined Rogue Squadron to assist in the effort to defeat Isard and liberate his home planet. He participated in the squadron's engagement with the Lusankya. After the Rogues secured victory at Thyferra, as Wedge Antilles and the rest of the squadron deliberated whether to remain with the group, Jace opted to leave once more, taking on the role of leading the establishment of a Thyferran Aerospace Defense Force.
