Bruu Jun-Fan

Bruu Jun-Fan was a Jedi Master of the Human male persuasion. He dedicated his service to both the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic throughout the duration of the Clone Wars. Circa 20 BBY, Jun-Fan was hand-picked to participate in a task force whose mission was to locate the Sith Lord Darth Maul. Maul was previously thought to have been killed by Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi during the Battle of Naboo twelve years prior. The task force was also after Maul's brother, the Sith apprentice Savage Opress. Jun-Fan and his team tracked the Zabrak siblings to the planet Orto Norwe, where they engaged them in combat. Despite this, Maul and Opress were able to get away. During the fight, Jun-Fan's Padawan, Tatsu, and Kenobi both sustained injuries, which led Jun-Fan and the remaining Jedi to continue their pursuit of the Sith. On the world of Pleem's Nexus, Jun-Fan, Plo Koon, and Jedi Master Ko Solok confronted Maul and Opress once more. Jun-Fan himself fought against Maul. He was wounded by one of Maul's cybernetic legs and ultimately died from the injuries inflicted by the Zabrak brothers after their escape.

During the Clone Wars, a conflict between the Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Jun-Fan engaged in combat against the forces of the Separatist Droid Army. Around 20 BBY, Darth Maul, the Sith Lord previously believed to have been killed by Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi twelve years before during the Battle of Naboo, reappeared during the war with the assistance of his brother and apprentice, Savage Opress. Plo Koon, a Kel Dor Jedi Master, selected Jun-Fan to join a task force tasked with hunting down and capturing Darth Maul and Opress. Jun-Fan, accompanied by Tatsu, Masters Koon, Kenobi, Ko Solok, Grohto, and a squad of clone troopers, traveled to the ice world of Orto Norwe, which was the last known location of the Zabrak brothers. The task force discovered a cantina where members of the criminal organization Scourge were found dead on the floor. Utilizing his psychometric abilities, Jun-Fan deduced that the Sith were responsible for the massacre and determined that the Zabraks were located in a nearby cave.

Upon locating Maul and Opress at the Scourge gang's base within the caves, Jun-Fan and the clone soldiers commenced fighting against several wampas unleashed by Maul. Meanwhile, the other Jedi attempted to apprehend Maul and Opress, who ultimately managed to escape with a hostage after killing Grohto and injuring Tatsu. Jun-Fan employed his psychometric abilities on a piece of jewelry dropped by the Sith's hostage, learning that they were headed to the planet Pleem's Nexus. Due to their injuries, Jun-Fan, Koon, and Solok left Tatsu and Kenobi behind and pursued Maul and Opress to Pleem's Nexus. They confronted the brothers at a castle as the Sith were attempting to load treasure onto their starship, intending to use it to establish a criminal empire.

During the ensuing duel, Jun-Fan and Solok attempted to persuade Maul to reveal the identity of his former Master. Maul used the Force to hurl his lightsaber at Jun-Fan, who evaded the attack, although the lightsaber pierced and killed Solok. Jun-Fan then employed his unarmed combat skills to try and overpower Maul, eventually beginning to choke the Sith Lord, determined to put an end to what he perceived as Maul's evil actions. However, Maul repositioned his right cybernetic leg and kicked Jun-Fan in the abdomen, inflicting a mortal wound upon the Jedi Master. After Maul and Opress escaped when Kenobi and Jedi Knight Anakin Skywalker arrived in their starfighters, Jun-Fan passed away in Koon's arms.

Personality and traits

Bruu Jun-Fan possessed light skin, brown hair, and eyes, and maintained a good level of physical fitness. Jun-Fan was deeply committed to capturing Darth Maul and Savage Opress, and during his confrontation with Maul on Pleem's Nexus, he made an effort to convince Maul to disclose the identity of his former Sith Master. However, after Maul's lightsaber resulted in the death of Ko Solok, Jun-Fan abandoned this approach and became resolute in ending Maul's life. Following Maul's infliction of a mortal wound upon Jun-Fan, he remarked that he could feel the Force embracing him as he was dying.
