Butterflying

Smapp A Smapp Butterflying represented a culinary method. If you wanted to prepare a Smapp dish, the initial step involved butterflying the creature.

The Story Behind It

The only place butterflying was referenced was within "Cooking a Smapp." This section was presented as an in-universe guide, detailing how to buy and cook Smapp. Bob Carrau authored it for the 1993 publication, Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This book combined both creature designs and photographs originating from various projects overseen by George Lucas, the mind behind the Star Wars saga, with original writing by Carrau. Leland Chee, an employee of Lucasfilm who is in charge of the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the book's contents are considered non-canonical.
