Byxle Pedette, a Mon Calamari chef and entrepreneur, made his home on the desert planet of Tatooine during the tumultuous era of the Galactic Civil War.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Byxle Pedette became the proprietor of the sole Tasty Dried Critters establishment in Mos Eisley, despite his questionable culinary skills.
In the year 1 ABY, the Mon Calamari, overwhelmed by the sheer volume of orders, enlisted the help of a passing spacer to deliver three additional orders in exchange for a few credits. The spacer accepted the offer, and Byxle provided the delivery addresses, allowing him to keep any earned tips while reminding him of the slogan: "TDC is not fast food, it's food delivered fast".
Upon arriving at the first location, Drixa Dreul's residence, Drixa discovered that Byxle had neglected to include the fungus dippers she had ordered. After the initial delivery, Byxle contacted the spacer, claiming Drixa had not paid for the fungus dippers or the spacer's tip, dismissing it as Drixa's habitual complaining. The subsequent delivery was to the home of Nogri Hessen, a Trandoshan. Upon the spacer's arrival, it was revealed that the stuffed Chuba was still alive and consuming the remaining food. Although the Trandoshan did not pay for the delivery, Byxle called and relayed that Nogri believed his explanation and would still compensate him for the delivery, warning him to exercise caution at the next location, the residence of the dangerous swoop gang leader, Jano Bix.
The spacer arrived for the delivery, only to be surrounded by swoop riders. Upon reaching Jano, everything seemed to be progressing smoothly until the four Chubas, intended for delivery, attacked Jano and the spacer. After subduing the Chubas, Jano threatened the spacer, who explained that Byxle had simply made an error. Jano responded. Byxle then called again, stating that Jano had paid and preferred his Chubas fresh. Upon the spacer's return to the restaurant, Byxle informed him that Jano had called back, claiming ignorance of the Chubas' living state. Byxle Pedette compensated the spacer, who then ceased performing deliveries for him.
Byxle Pedette functioned as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game created by Sony Online Entertainment and distributed by LucasArts, before its termination on December 15, 2011. Byxle Pedette's inclusion in the game occurred with the launch of "Publish 25," also referred to as the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005. Within the unreleased content of Star Wars Galaxies, Byxle Pedette was intended to introduce the player to another quest-giver named Begol Toulin.
