The Cademimu uprising represents a period of conflict on the planet Cademimu V. This event transpired during the Cold War between the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic, and also involved the Mantellian Separatist Movement, all spurred on by the corrupt governor of Cademimu, Chornarov.

Chornarov, the governor of Cademimu V, faced accusations of corruption, leading him to declare the planet's independence from the Republic. Following the conclusion of the Ord Mantell civil war, a faction of Mantellian separatists under the command of General Ortol relocated to Cademimu. Their purpose was to act as Chornarov's personal guard and assist him in seizing control of the planet and its missile defenses.
The actions taken were met with resistance from the inhabitants of Cademimu, resulting in widespread riots and a civilian revolt. While Chornarov's private military forces were engaged in suppressing the uprising on the streets, General Ortol and his troops established a fortified position within the missile defense command center.
In response, the Republic dispatched a military force with the objective of removing Chornarov from power and regaining control of the missile system. Simultaneously, the Empire sought to capitalize on the situation by deploying its own strike force. During the ensuing conflict, Ortol met his demise within the missile complex, and Chornarov was ultimately ousted from his position of authority.
The Cademimu uprising is featured in the Star Wars: The Old Republic flashpoint known as Cademimu. During this flashpoint, players are presented with a choice that influences the trajectory of the missiles, allowing them to target either an uninhabited moon (the light side option) or an enemy fleet in orbit (the dark side option).
