The Calamarian minisub, a diminutive submarine, was deployed on the water-covered planet of Calamari. During 5 ABY, Luke Skywalker, accompanied by Gial Ackbar, C-3PO, and R2-D2, utilized a fish-styled Calamarian minisub for the purpose of monitoring and covertly observing a Whaladon-hunting submarine.
The initial depiction of the Calamarian minisub occurred in the 1992 Star Wars Legends book The Glove of Darth Vader. This novel was authored by both Paul Davids and Hollace Davids, and featured artwork created by Karl Kesel. A comparable submarine made an appearance within Star Wars canon in the 2018 comic book issue Darth Vader (2017) 15.
