Caldra Prime was a place that existed in proximity to Caldra Tertius. Several commerce-oriented planets were found in the vicinity of both Caldra Prime and Caldra Tertius. Approximately during the Battle of Hoth period, specifically 3 ABY, a band of pirates discovered a hyperspace route connecting the Vosch Cluster to the commercial planets orbiting Caldra Prime and Caldra Tertius. The existence of these pirates put at risk a portion of the Rebel Alliance's fleet that had managed to flee the aforementioned battle and were assembling at a designated rendezvous point situated between the Vosch Cluster and the trade planets.
The short story "Rendezvous Point," authored by Jason Fry, which was included in From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back in 2020, made reference to Caldra Prime.
