The Republic's military contingent, commanded by General Jace Malcom along with Jedi Knight Satele Shan, achieved victory over the Imperial forces half a year following the Battle of Alderaan. However, Shan ended her love affair with Malcom because she was afraid of the darkness she saw inside him.
