Thick clouds of carbon dioxide enveloped Dagobah
Carbon dioxide refers to a gas exhaled from the lungs of humans as a product of breathing. Back in 19 BBY, Padmé Amidala took several deep breaths to expel as much carbon dioxide as possible from her lungs prior to submerging in the water. This was after she crashed her escape pod into a river located on the planet Mokivj to evade capture by the Batuu police. Dagobah was a planet that was covered by dense clouds of both carbon dioxide and water vapor.
