Catherine Winder held the position of executive producer at Lucasfilm Animation. From 2007 onward, she was in charge of both the development and production phases of Star Wars: The Clone Wars and its 2008 movie counterpart, until Cary Silver took over her role during the making of the first season of the show. Winder was born in Toronto, Canada, and her career in film started in Japan. She later expressed that this experience aided her in incorporating aspects of anime and manga into the distinctive animation style of Clone Wars.
