The central marketplace existed as a sector within Ro Station, which itself was a city located on the planet Pantora. This vibrant and active area housed a multitude of commercial establishments. As the Imperial Era commenced, a conflict erupted in the central marketplace; it involved the bounty hunter Fennec Shand and the rogue clone commando Hunter, and it stemmed from Shand's endeavor to abduct the young clone Omega, ultimately capturing the notice of the Pantoran Security forces.
