Chard Fristena was a male Human Force Adept who fought for the Alliance to Restore the Republic in the Galactic Civil War.
Fristena was a man who was Force-sensitive and had been trained to utilize the Force. He possessed his own lightsaber and had become skilled in its use as a weapon. By the time the Battle of Yavin occurred, Fristena had become a member of the Rebel Alliance, fighting against the Galactic Empire.
In 1 ABY, Chard Fristena was located at a prison facility situated within the hidden Rebel base on Corellia. At the same time, the Alliance had captured six Imperial officers and held them as prisoners in this same facility. During the Empire Day celebrations of that year, Mara Jade, the Emperor's Hand, sent a group of loyal Imperial spacers to free the officers. These Imperial operatives launched an attack on the prison facility, and Chard Fristena was killed in the process. Following this, one of the Imperial spacers took Fristena's clothes, allowing one of the Imperial officers to disguise himself and escape from the base.
Chard Fristena appeared as a non-player character in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was shut down on December 15, 2011. Fristena was incorporated into the game with the release of "Game Update 11," which was released on June 23, 2009. He was present in the game during the Empire Day events of 2009, 2010, and 2011.
