Charl Sstena

Charl Sstena existed as a male Jawa smuggler originating from the planet of Tatooine. He operated during the era of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

Sometime around the year 0 ABY, Charl Sstena played a role in the sale of C-3PO and R2-D2 to Owen Lars. Following this transaction, he apparently managed to survive the subsequent attack launched by Imperial Stormtroopers.

After the events of the Battle of Yavin, Sstena continued his activities as a smuggler, focusing on the transportation of goods beyond the confines of the Tatooine system. In the year 1 ABY, he accepted a contract to transport cargo destined for the Meatlumps, a criminal organization based on Corellia. A spacer employed by a Meatlump armorer got in contact with Sstena and set up a meeting outside Coronet. However, this designated location came under attack from a rival criminal faction known as the Ragtags. After the spacer successfully repelled the attackers, Charl Sstena was then able to successfully land and complete his contracted delivery.

Behind the scenes

Charl Sstena functioned as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its eventual shutdown on December 15, 2011. The character of Charl Sstena was incorporated into the game as a component of the "Meatlumps Theme Park," which was introduced alongside "Chapter 10: The Search for the Meatlump King," released on June 19, 2008.

Players participating in the "Meatlump Themepark" had the opportunity to receive a quest that required them to engage in conversation with Charl. During these interactions, Charl would often speak at length concerning Uncle Owen and R5-D4.
