Ragtags

The group of criminals known as the Ragtags established an organization referred to as the Ragtag gang. Their operations took place on the world of Corellia during the Galactic Civil War era.

History

Animosity existed between the Ragtags and another gang, the Meatlump gang. Despite the Meatlumps' indifference, the Ragtags harbored a deep hatred for them. During the year 1 ABY, the Ragtags committed an act of vandalism against the Coronet Starport, with the intention of framing the Meatlumps and causing them trouble. However, the truth came to light through the efforts of a spacer employed by CorSec Lieutenant Mack Jasper, along with the assistance of journalist Finn Shallo and former Ragtag member Demmi Wot. The spacer, in pursuit of the Ragtags responsible for the vandalism, ventured into the Corellian system. The Ragtags, piloting Z-95-AF4 Headhunters, launched an attack, leading the spacer to eliminate the majority of them.

A Ragtag/Rogue CorSec meeting

Concurrently, Tomi Jinsin, a Ragtag thug and employee of Ral Mundi's Starship Emporium, aided the Ragtags in stealing a shipment of starship components from Ral Mundi. Simultaneously, the Ragtags collaborated with a group of former members of the Corellian Security Force known as the Rogue CorSec. The Rogue CorSec enlisted the Ragtags to smuggle illicit spice within the Coronet Capitol to discredit the Diktat and his administration. However, the scheme unraveled when the Ragtags mistakenly included the shipment stolen from Ral Mundi in the Capitol. The spacer, employed by CorSec Lieutenant Jasper, discovered the spice in the Capitol while investigating the disappearance of Mundi's shipment. Ragtag pilots attempted to assassinate the spacer in the Corellian system, but their efforts were unsuccessful. Subsequently, the spacer intimidated some Ragtags on the outskirts of Coronet and uncovered Tomi Jinsin's involvement. After killing Jinsin in a Ragtag bunker, the spacer learned of the delivery of Ral Mundi's shipment in the Capitol, along with the spice. Further investigation by Lieutenant Jasper and the spacer revealed the connection between Rogue CorSec and Ragtags. Ultimately, they confronted the Rogue CorSec and proved the Diktat's innocence.

Shortly thereafter, a CorSec agent who committed treason, named Jori, provided the Ragtags with intelligence regarding a shipment of weaponry destined for the local CorSec force in Tyrena. Lacking the necessary firepower to execute the theft independently, the Ragtags contracted the criminals known as the Deflarians to hijack Captain Donovan's vessel and seize the weapons cargo. The Deflarians succeeded, but Captain Jark and Inspector Cora of CorSec eventually exposed the operation. During the ensuing CorSec retaliatory strike, several Ragtags, Deflarians, and the traitor Jori were killed. Concurrently, the Ragtags were launching an offensive against CorSec forces in Tyrena, but this plan was also thwarted by CorSec.

During the same year, a group of Ragtag thugs led by Lilea Norith and Ventil Tamplin were present in Doaba Guerfel. They harassed Lilith Laughlin, a minor criminal and CorSec informant, until a CorSec agent working for Captain Vitala Baize intervened.

Around the same time, a group of Ragtags, under the leadership of Gramo Murah, established a base in a bunker located in the Nomad Mountains. They were engaged in conflict with a group of Meatlumps led by Strilath Farles. In 1 ABY, a spacer working for Corellia Times reporter Vani Korr agreed to deal with Farles in exchange for information about the Meatlumps. The adventurer then attacked the Ragtag base and killed Gramo Murah and his Ragtag goons.

As part of their ongoing feud with the Meatlumps, the Ragtags would often ambush meeting locations used by smugglers delivering goods to the Meatlumps. In 1 ABY, a group of Ragtags launched an assault on the rendezvous point of the smuggler Charl Sstena with a spacer affiliated with the Meatlumps. The spacer ultimately eliminated all the Ragtags. Around the same time, the Ragtag Ames Miss'd and his henchmen Anita B'ath and Box O'Rox were known for harassing new Meatlump recruits in Coronet. Frustrated by this situation, a Meatlump food supply clerk enlisted the help of a spacer allied with the Meatlumps to teach the Ragtags a lesson. The spacer attempted to intimidate Ames Miss'd, but the Ragtag ordered Anita and Box to attack the spacer. Eventually, the spacer killed them both. Unable to defend himself, Ames Miss'd surrendered and agreed to leave the Meatlumps alone.
