Mack Jasper

A Human male named Mack Jasper resided on Corellia during the era of the Galactic Civil War. He served with skill as an officer within the ranks of the Corellian Security Force.

Biography

Sometime after the Battle of Yavin, Mack Jasper held the rank of lieutenant within the Corellian Security Force, with his post located in Coronet City. He maintained a friendship with Hurley Klakk, a CorSec agent.

While serving with CorSec, Jasper once attempted to apprehend an undercover ISB operative who possessed the Codex of Tython, an artifact of significance to the Alliance to Restore the Republic. However, the Imperial agent resisted surrendering the item, and after a brief altercation, Jasper was disarmed and defeated. Due to the agent's urgency, he simply departed, leaving Jasper on the ground, and continued with his mission.

The Rogue CorSec plot against the Diktat

At approximately the same period, Lieutenant Mack Jasper spearheaded an investigation aimed at establishing the innocence of Diktat Daclif Gallamby, the Corellian Head of State.

In 1 ABY, Jasper began collaborating with a spacer who came highly recommended by Colonel Panaka from the Royal Naboo Security Forces. For their initial assignment, Lieutenant Jasper tasked the spacer with investigating acts of vandalism at the Coronet Starport. The spacer determined that the Ragtags were the culprits, with the intent of falsely accusing the Meatlumps to incite conflict.

On one occasion, Lieutenant Jasper directed the spacer to investigate a missing shipment of starship parts that were ordered by Ral Mundi's business, Starship Emporium. The spacer discovered that the Ragtag gang had stolen the shipment and successfully recovered it within the Coronet Capitol. More notably, the spacer also came across a crate containing illicit spice. After the spacer informed Lieutenant Jasper, he made the decision to launch an investigation. Subsequently, the spacer infiltrated the capitol and took on roles working for Gallura Handerin, a governmental assistant, and Brantlee Spondoon, the Diktat's aide. During this time, an informant made contact with Spondoon to discuss a conspiracy against the Diktat. Despite the Rogue CorSec's successful assassination of the informant in a Coronet warehouse, Lieutenant Jasper and the spacer uncovered the Rogue CorSec's involvement in the plot. From Jonset, one of Jasper's informants, the spacer later found out that the Rogues were in league with the Ragtags. Consequently, the spacer launched an assault on one of their clandestine gatherings, ultimately discovering an order on a computer, seemingly from the Diktat, instructing the Ragtags to smuggle spice into the Capitol. Lieutenant Jasper promptly commanded a search of the Diktat's office, during which the spacer located a remote relay device connected to the Diktat's personal data terminal. This device enabled individuals to transmit files from a distant location, making them appear as though they originated from the terminal to which the device was affixed. A gadget expert readily identified the device, leading Jasper to deduce that someone had manipulated the Diktat's terminal to plant the orders for smuggling spice. The gadget specialist also assisted Lieutenant Jasper in pinpointing the transmission's point of origin. The spacer tracked the signal back to the Rogue CorSec Base and infiltrated it. The spacer then downloaded evidence proving the Diktat's innocence and ultimately eliminated Hiram Bish and Mtara Vinram, the Rogue CorSec commanders who were responsible for the plot. The grateful Diktat presented the spacer with the Corellian Medal for Distinguished Service in recognition of their service, and Lieutenant Jasper was the one who gave the medal to the spacer.

Following these events, Lieutenant Jasper suggested that the spacer consider working for other CorSec officers, namely Lieutenant Joth and Major Walden.
