Alana Walden served as a female Corellian officer within the CorSec security forces during the era of the Galactic Civil War.
By the time the Battle of Yavin occurred, Alana Walden had achieved the rank of major in the Corellian Security Force and was stationed on Tyrena. Additionally, she held a position within CorSec's Tactical Response Team.
Following the Battle of Yavin, Major Walden began an investigation into the rising number of disappearances occurring on Corellia. Through the medium of the Corellia News Service, she identified Bandor Mokk and Faye Patrick as potentially dangerous individuals, urging citizens to get in touch with CorSec if they possessed any relevant information. In 1 ABY, a spacer eventually uncovered the truth: the missing individuals had been captured and turned into slaves by Corellian slavers. This spacer successfully infiltrated the Corellian Slaver Bunker and hacked into the bunker's central computer system. The spacer then transmitted the slavers' records on CorSec's emergency channels, which prompted a swift response from numerous CorSec agents who moved to the slaver bunker to liberate the enslaved people.

Later that year, she was informed that the kidnapping case had been resolved. Lieutenant Jasper dispatched the independent agent who played a crucial role in solving the case to assist Walden with her growing caseload. The first case she assigned to the adventurer involved the supposed theft of a Corellian Medal of Honor from Wilfred Quelsh, a retired CorSec officer. The agent discovered that Quelsh had accepted bribes from smugglers in exchange for overlooking their activities and had falsely accused a fellow officer, Kal Braggan, of the crime. When Braggan confronted Quelsh, Quelsh murdered him. Walden expressed her gratitude for the resolution of the case and assured that Quelsh would be held accountable for his actions. The next case she entrusted to the independent agent concerned an attack on the starship captain Osto Grissom by members of the Meatlump gang. The adventurer tracked the Meatlumps to a cave located near Tyrena and learned that Grissom had been targeted due to his transportation of electronics.
After this, Walden received a communication from her colleague, Lieutenant Lon Cope, who required the independent agent's assistance in a murder investigation. Consequently, Walden directed the adventurer to Cope in Kor Vella.

Following reports of a smuggler with an outstanding warrant for his arrest on Corellia being sighted on Tatooine, Major Walden, accompanied by a team of CorSec operatives, was sent to the distant Outer Rim planet with the aim of capturing the fugitive. They located him and confronted him in a confined alleyway within Mos Eisley. Unbeknownst to the CorSec agents, the smuggler was in fact an undercover agent of the Imperial Security Bureau. To protect his cover, the ISB agent engaged Walden and her team in a firefight. Using his blaster set to stun, he mounted a strong defense and incapacitated all the operatives, including Walden. After seizing Walden's datapad containing information about her upcoming contact, the ISB agent departed, leaving her injured in the alley.
Alana Walden was featured as a non-playable character in the 2003 video game titled Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts, before its servers were shut down on December 15, 2011. Alana Walden was introduced to the game through an update called "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives," which was released on June 8, 2006.
