During the era of the Galactic Civil War, which pitted the Galactic Empire against the Rebel Alliance, Lilith Laughlin existed as a Human female criminal of minor importance. She made her home on the planet Corellia during this time.
Subsequent to the Battle of Yavin, Lilith Laughlin found herself operating as a low-level criminal within the confines of Doaba Guerfel. Simultaneously, she functioned as a clandestine operative for the Corellian Security Force.
In the year 1 ABY, the Corellian Security Force initiated an investigation into the Chirq Council, also known to CorSec as the Red Circle Gang. This investigation was prompted by an escalation in ryll trafficking on Corellia. After it was determined that the criminal syndicate had established its base of operations in Doaba Guerfel, Captain Vitala Baize was appointed as the lead investigator. Captain Baize made the decision to enlist Lilith Laughlin's assistance in identifying prospective members of the Chirq Council within Doaba Guerfel. However, Laughlin was initially unable to aid CorSec, as she was being harassed by a group of Ragtag thugs, spearheaded by Ventil Tamplin and Lilea Norith, who suspected her true loyalties. Consequently, Captain Baize dispatched a former CorSec spacer to permanently resolve the issue with the Ragtags.
Laughlin immediately began her work for Captain Baize, and quickly uncovered potential links between the Red Circle Gang and a Drall terrorist faction referred to as the Drall Patriots. However, a search of the Drall Patriot Warehouse located in Doaba Guerfel revealed no evidence of a connection between the two organizations. Subsequently, Laughlin directed the spacer to engage in conversation with Gwhirrye Baric, a criminal who managed a spice operation from a small medical facility in Doaba Guerfel. After the spacer assisted him in resolving issues with Xyrias Undea and the Rogue CorSec individuals who were disrupting his business, Baric consented to divulge the name Trins Evnar. This individual was a spice dealer who bore a red circle tattoo on his arm. Thanks to this intelligence, Captain Baize was able to ascertain the identities of several Chirq Council members and successfully place an agent within the organization.
The Chirq Council eventually became aware that an informant was providing assistance to CorSec in their investigation. Jzoro Quanera, the underboss, then instructed Captain Baize's infiltrated agent to locate and eliminate the informant. In an effort to safeguard Lilith Laughlin, the agent instead murdered another woman, Ebela Puckett, a Grey Shroud terrorist, and Captain Baize fabricated evidence to suggest that the terrorist was working for CorSec. Having gained Jzoro Quaner's trust, the agent was granted unrestricted access to Quanera's database, which allowed them to discover the identities of the nine elite councilors who governed the Chirq Council, as well as the locations of their secret headquarters. Ultimately, the CorSec operation resulted in the dismantling of the Chirq Council.
Lilith Laughlin was featured as a non-player character within the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies. This game was a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game that was developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts. The game was eventually shut down on December 15, 2011. Lilith Laughlin was incorporated into the game through the "Chapter 1: The Corellian Captives" update, which was released on June 8, 2006.
