The Chorax system resided within the Rachuk sector of the Colonies region, situated in the space between Commenor and Talasea. Its only planet was Chorax, and its yellow sun was of a size that allowed starships to navigate relatively close to it via hyperspace. Due to its reputation as a haven for piracy and smuggling, merchant vessels typically steered clear of this system.
In the year 6 ABY, as part of the Core Campaign, the Imperial Interdictor-class heavy cruiser known as the Black Asp executed an ambush on the yacht Pulsar Skate while it was within the system. Later, during the Bacta War, Rogue Squadron conducted a raid on the Thyferran Convoy Delta-Two-Niner while it was located in the Chorax system.
