Crystals from Christophsis were a variety of kyber crystal. These crystals originated on the crystalline planet of Christophsis, located in the Outer Rim. This planet was a significant early conflict zone during the galactic Clone Wars fought between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. While the Republic and Confederacy valued the planet for multiple reasons, the Jedi Order was drawn to the pure kyber crystals found within the planet's crystalline forests. When used in a lightsaber, Christophsis crystals gave the blade a distinctive kinetic energy amplification, leading to more forceful strikes compared to other lightsabers.
The book Collapse of the Republic, a supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying game, released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2019, contained references to Christophsis crystals. The book is a roleplaying resource.
