A temple of native origin existed upon the planet of Cilpar. Elscol Loro, the head of the Cilpari Resistance, and his group tried to break it apart and then trade the stone to Talon Karrde, a smuggler; however, the stone was too strong to be broken. After the Battle of Endor, which happened in 4 ABY, Rogue Squadron of the New Republic, together with Loro, hid within the temple as protection from Imperial Moff Boren Tascl and his military.
