Clan Vizla was a Mandalorian lineage that existed throughout the Galactic War period. Shae Vizla, along with her brother, belonged to this clan, as did Gen Vizla.
During the time of the Cold War, Shae established a base on Tracyn Island on the planet Rishi. She was joined at this location by members of other Mandalorian clans, including Jos and Valk Beroya of Clan Beroya. At this enclave, the clans engaged in trials against dangerous creatures and collaborated with the Nova Blades for a period. However, they severed ties when the pirates formed an alliance with the Order of Revan.
During the Eternal Empire conquest of the galaxy, the Mandalorians mounted a resistance, but Mandalore the Vindicated perished in battle. The Eternal Fleet and the Star Fortresses blockaded many of the Core Worlds, resulting in the entrapment of almost half of all Mandalorian clans on those planets. Clan Vizla fared better than most, and Shae Vizla was selected to become the new "Mandalore the Avenger," a title she accepted with reluctance.
