Following the death of Mandalore the Vindicated, the clans unified under Shae Vizla's leadership and continued to support her within the Eternal Alliance, offering their expertise to aid the galaxy's restoration following the conclusion of the war against Zakuul.
This alliance rose to prominence as the dominant force among the Mandalorian Clans, but its cohesion was challenged when Mandalore the Avenger offended clans such as Clan Ha'rangir and banished others, which caused them to establish the Hidden Chain, spearheaded by Field Marshal Heta Kol, with the goal of deposing Shae from her position of power. These underlying tensions eventually escalated, resulting in a fresh civil war within the Clans.
Concerned that the ongoing conflict might provoke intervention from both the Republic and the Sith Empire, potentially targeting both Tra'tade supporters and Hidden Chain members, Shae Vizla relinquished her title as Mandalore and transferred command of her forces to Jekiah. Thinking that he held the key to locating Heta, she freed Darth Malgus from confinement, thereby betraying the Eternal Alliance.
