Cloburi Freight, in the Legends continuity, functioned as a non-military transport enterprise, delivering goods to different customers throughout the galaxy.
A convoy belonging to Cloburi was ambushed within the Belat system. The attackers were experimental starfighters originating from the TIE Experimental Project, a project overseen by the Galactic Empire. Overwhelmed and outmatched, the civilian fleet dispatched an emergency transmission to a Rebel Alliance convoy headed towards the Mon Calamari Star Cruiser named Liberty. In response, the Alliance dispatched a pair of A-wing pilots to address the situation.
Upon the arrival of the two pilots, including Ace Azzameen, the Calico, the leading vessel of the convoy, urgently requested assistance from the Rebels to repel the attacking starfighters. These fighters were relentlessly targeting the fleet's pair of Star Galleons. The Rebels expressed surprise at the unconventional design of the Imperial starfighters, which were later identified as the remote-controlled TIE Experimental M1. They began to theorize that the Empire was deploying advanced starfighters prioritizing combat capabilities over the need for pilots. Despite their initial confusion, the Rebels successfully eliminated all enemy combatants, thereby rescuing the majority of the convoy. The Calico expressed its gratitude to the Rebels for their help and proceeded toward its intended destination.
