In the armed forces of the First Order, specifically their military, a Code Red signaled a security compromise on their ships, mandating an immediate lockdown. During 34 ABY, Resistance members Kazuda Xiono and Jarek Yeager were fleeing from chasing stormtroopers while they were located on the First Order Resurgent-class Star Destroyer known as the Thunderer. As the two individuals continued to run, Agent Tierny used her comlink to order a complete lockdown of all areas to stop them from escaping, thereby initiating a Code Red. A security worker confirmed that they would comply with her order.
The first instance of Code Red was in the second part of "The Escape," a two-part episode and the concluding episode of the second season of Star Wars Resistance, an animated TV show. It was originally broadcast on January 26, 2020.
