A cognition throne represented a specialized adaptation of the cognition hoods that were employed within coralskippers. Yuuzhan Vong warriors utilized these thrones as a means to direct starships, and even entire fleets, during combat engagements. Frequently, these thrones were used in combination with blaze bugs, facilitating communication through numerous delicate, pulsating antennae.
The dimensions of cognition thrones were comparable to that of a landspeeder, supported by six short legs. Positioned at the uppermost point was the neural cusp, which established a connection with the pilot's head, while specialized arm receptacles accommodated the pilot's arms, providing enhanced control. Attaining a sufficient level of proficiency when interfacing with a cognition throne enabled complete immersion in the overall strategic landscape.
