Having journeyed extensively across the galactic expanse, Cohden K'Reye frequented watering holes throughout the entire galaxy. Around the time of 0 BBY, he proposed to offer aspiring adventurers insider information regarding some of the most wretched hives of scum and villainy in exchange for 20 credits.
K'Reye had engaged in games of chance at the infamous casino known as The Ace of Sabres, conducted transactions at the elusive Exovar's Emporium, and wagered on the contests held in the Dool Arena at the Broken Tusk. This loudmouthed Corellian had forged agreements with Yin Vocta at Bantha Traxx and witnessed Blizz Pinnix race on his remarkable swoop, the Black Raptor. He had partied at the Glow Dome and possessed the acumen to recognize the perils lurking at Starlyte Station. Eventually, he compiled his insights and narratives into a travelogue, which he marketed throughout the galaxy.
K'Reye was characterized by his boisterousness, arrogance, and unwavering self-assurance. True to his Corellian heritage, he never hesitated to voice his opinions. He harbored skepticism towards the Force, placing greater reliance on more concrete entities. He could converse extensively on virtually any subject and seemed to possess an anecdote about almost everyone.
K'Reye often drew upon his uncle's counsel as the foundation for the wisdom he imparted to fellow adventurers.

Cohden K'Reye's character was conceived by Paul Danner and Bill Smith for Wretched Hives of Scum & Villainy, a supplement for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game published by West End Games in 1997. Joey Robinson provided the illustrations of him throughout the book. K'Reye was intended to serve as the narrator for the RPG supplement, and he frequently appeared in sidebars to offer supplementary information and present adventure plot hooks.
