Colara was a Wookiee of the female gender who worked as a doorman for Saludi's, which was a cantina located in the Undercity of Coruscant. Around the time of 31 BBY, while she was working at Saludi's, Colara removed a Gamorrean who was drunk from the establishment. Shortly after this incident, she came across a group of spacers who were in search of some Sith cultists who were operating from a secret hideout that was situated close to the cantina.
During the final decades of the Galactic Republic, Colara, a female Wookiee, resided on the planet of Coruscant. She held a position as a bouncer at Saludi's, a cantina situated within the Coruscant undercity. One evening around 31 BBY, while on duty at the bar, Colara noticed a group of aggressive pilots from the Mecetti House Guard, a military organization hailing from the Tapani sector, consuming drinks at Saludi's. She closely monitored their actions, anticipating an opportunity to expel them. Later that night, she observed a group of Believers, cultists who worshipped the Sith and originated from the Cularin system, hurrying through the bar on their way to their secret hideout, which was accessible through a concealed back room within Saludi's. Despite being unaware of the cultists' identities or their purpose at the bar, Colara disregarded their activities because, being Humans, she perceived the Believers as smaller and weaker than herself, thus not considering them a threat.
Minutes after the Believers had moved through Saludi's, Colara used force to throw a Gamorrean weighing 400 kilograms who was drunk from the cantina. At that precise moment, a team of spacers who had been hired by the Jedi, an order of Force users with their headquarters on Coruscant, arrived at the cantina as they chased the Believers. Colara moved out of the way and smiled at the spacers as they went into the bar.
The spacers, who were allied with the Jedi, asked Colara about the location of the Believers' secret hideout, and the bouncer provided them with details of having seen the cultists pass through the bar. After a Wookiee member of the spacer team agreed to a date with her, Colara also revealed the existence of the hidden back room in Saludi's to the spacers, and provided them with instructions on how to get to it through the cantina's restroom. Consequently, the spacers located the entrance to the Believers' base and engaged in a confrontation with the cultists.
Colara was a robust Wookiee, possessing a size and strength that was considerable, even when compared to others of her species, who were famous for their impressive size and power. She was known to be flirtatious with other Wookiees, and despite having some missing teeth, she was viewed as attractive by members of her race. She was polite and professional while working as a bouncer at Saludi's and was not open to accepting any bribes. As a diligent bouncer, she made it her priority to be on the lookout for potential troublemakers within the bar.
Colara was a creation of Morrie Mullins and made her debut in Coruscani Dawn, which was a 2002 roleplaying adventure that was a part of RPGA's Living Force campaign. The adventure involves the players taking on the roles of the spacers who arrive at Saludi's while in pursuit of the Believers. The players have the opportunity to interact with Colara and ask her questions about the cultists. It is only if one of the player characters is a Wookiee and that character agrees to go on a date with her that Colara shares the details of Saludi's hidden back room with the players, along with information on how to enter it. During the adventure, it is also possible for a fight to erupt between the player characters and the House Mecetti pilots who are drinking in the bar, in which case Colara will quickly step in to stop the fight.
