Cold Danda Sine

Cold Danda Sine, one of the quartet of Bedlam Spirits, were beings from beyond dimensions. These entities dwelled within the Bedlam Pulsar, seemingly possessing unlimited power over both time and matter. Cold Danda Sine participated in occasional experiments conducted on the planet Bedlam, where the Spirits engaged in manipulating the very essence of existence.

Biography

Alongside Tilotny, Horliss-Horliss, and Splendid Ap, Cold Danda Sine belonged to the group of four Bedlam Spirits. These beings were transdimensional, possessing godlike abilities to control form, matter, and time. They gained their designation from their occasional presence on the planet Bedlam, where they used the location as a stage for their experiments on the structure of reality. Cold Danda Sine witnessed the Bedlam Spirits' discovery of Rebel leader Leia Organa and a squad of Imperial stormtroopers on Bedlam during the era of the Galactic Civil War. During this encounter, Tilotny and Horliss-Horliss killed the beings by drastically changing their bodily compositions. Disturbed by the treatment of these "tiny movers," Cold Danda Sine implored the others to depart, leading to Splendid Ap being tasked with restoring them to their original states. Over the subsequent decades, whispers of Cold Danda Sine and the other Spirits' existence spread throughout the wider galaxy, as visitors to Bedlam stumbled upon impossibly transformed materials and objects flung erratically through time.

Personality and traits

Cold Danda Sine, who manifested as a floating sphere colored black and orange with a face, shared the ability to manipulate time and mass with the other Bedlam Spirits. However, Tilotny considered Cold Danda Sine and Splendid Ap to be of lesser power. Conversely, Cold Danda Sine held Tilotny in contempt while admiring Horliss-Horliss, describing him as unmatched and inventive. Among his various studies of the universe's composition, Cold Danda Sine took particular pride in his "anti-concepts."

Behind the scenes

Cold Danda Sine made an appearance in Tilotny Throws a Shape, a brief comic story penned by Alan Moore and brought to life by the illustrations of John Stokes. It originally appeared in The Empire Strikes Back Monthly 154 in the United Kingdom. Notably, in The Essential Atlas, the name is incorrectly spelled "Cold Danda Sire."
