Collard lesions

Collard lesions represented a medical ailment that impacted the Duros species. Following the consumption of a potato on the world of Urthha, Etro Edthatt developed collard lesions, causing alarm among the Humans present.

Behind the scenes

A satirical depiction of collard lesions appeared in a supermarket tabloid spoof, purportedly written by Trebor Uarrac of the Galactic Gossip, within Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas. This 1993 publication blended conceptual artwork and images from the Original trilogy and various other Lucasfilm projects with diverse brief fictional narratives. The story details two newlywed Duros, Etro and Droza Edthatt, who are "abducted by human beings" from the world "Urthha". After more than four solar cycles of strange occurrences, they escape the planet utilizing a "matter catalyst", referred to by the humans as a "blender." Leland Chee, a Lucasfilm staff member who oversees the Holocron continuity database, has stated that the material presented in the book is considered non-canonical.
