Broak Vessery

After the death of Grand Admiral Thrawn, Broak Vessery, an Imperial Navy pilot, served under the command of Ysanne Isard.

Isard soon instructed Colonel Vessery's two TIE/D Defender squadrons, known as Interloper Squadron and Stranger Squadron, to extract the New Republic's Rogue Squadron from a trap set above Corvis Minor V by Isard's clone and Prince-Admiral Delak Krennel. Following the battle, Vessery expressed his view that the deaths of Rogue pilots Khe-Jeen Slee and Lyyr Zatoq, along with the severe injuries sustained by Wes Janson and Asyr Sei'lar, were personal failures, lamenting that he should have found a way to save them despite the extreme difficulty.

Vessery, along with an unnamed Imperial flight instructor, then proceeded to train the surviving Rogues to operate the Imperial TIE/D Defender, acting on Isard's orders. The goal was to infiltrate Krennel's forces with an alliance of former enemies and ultimately defeat the rogue warlord.

Requiem Squadron, led by Wedge Antilles under his alias Antar Roat, successfully infiltrated Krennel's forces and disabled the planetary shields protecting Ciutric. Following the liberation of Ciutric and the deaths of Krennel, Isard's clone, and Isard herself, Vessery absconded with two full squadrons of TIE Defenders and their respective pilots.

Vessery was portrayed as a tall officer, distinguished by his sharp, refined features and black hair. He was also characterized by a nervous habit of brushing imaginary lint from his uniform, coupled with a deliberate and thoughtful manner of speaking.
