Synopsis of the Plot

The narrative begins by introducing Mika Streev, who holds the title of champion for the planet Rabaan. He is engaged in training exercises alongside his friend Leda Kyss, as they prepare for a forthcoming duel to be held on Rabaan's singular moon, known as the Combat Moon. Mika is scheduled to face Sh'shak, the champion hailing from the planet S'krrr. The reason for this confrontation stems from the widespread belief that the S'krrr bear responsibility for the mass slaughter of a significant number of Rabaanites.

Upon their arrival on Combat Moon, Mika finds himself under attack by two stormtroopers from the Galactic Empire, namely Jan and Modigal Glave. They are under the command of Andos Delvaren, a Rabaanite who has betrayed his people. The Empire's intervention exposes them as the actual instigators of the attack that was wrongfully attributed to the S'krrr. The Empire's scheme involved inciting a war between the two planets, with the intention of intervening and seizing control. This would then allow them to eliminate a Rebel group concealed on Combat Moon.

After locating Sh'shak, the two Raabanite warriors engage the stormtroopers in combat, resulting in Sh'shak sustaining a gunshot wound to his thorax, a non-critical area for S'krrr. Amidst the resulting turmoil, the Rebel base that the Empire seeks to uncover is discovered. The Raabanites and S'krrr then collectively choose to support the Rebels in fending off the Empire, with Leda Kyss playing a key role in this decision. Tragically, stormtroopers kill Leda Kyss during the conflict, shortly after she manages to dispatch a warning message to nearby planets regarding the Empire's deceit.

Ultimately, the Rebellion proves successful in repelling the Imperial assault, and the traitor Andos meets his demise. Following their triumph, the rebel faction manages to escape the moon aboard a freighter accompanied by an X-wing fighter. Having directly witnessed the Empire's oppressive nature, Mika makes the decision to join the Rebellion, forgoing a return to his home planet.

The narrative concludes with Sh'shak emitting a wing-song as a lament for Leda and the other casualties of the battle against the Empire.
