Corlin Quarle Deld held the distinction of being a co-originator of the Verkuylian BactaCo.
Long before any established governance existed on Verkuyl, Deld acquired the planet with the aspiration of capitalizing on its extensive natural resources, notably the alazhi forests. To achieve this, he initiated the construction of expansive factories and recruited laborers as indentured servants sourced from various regions within the Outer Rim Territories. This endeavor marked the inception of an economic system that played a crucial role in the establishment of a government on the planet. The Verkuyl government rapidly accumulated significant wealth, with Corlin Deld at its helm. Nevertheless, his position as a leader underwent a transformation when the oppressive Galactic Empire moved to nationalize the planet.
Within the company's main building (which later became the Imperial Governor's Hall), Deld constructed a network of concealed routes. These routes were later utilized by his grandson, Daven Quarle, and New Republic Intelligence operative Selby Jarrad during the effort to liberate Verkuyl from Imperial control.
