Cortosis weave

Cortosis weave was a scarce, energy-deflecting fabric created by certain armorers using cortosis ore. Armor constructed with cortosis weave became almost impenetrable to energy weapons, offering protection against both blasters and lightsabers. In situations where cortosis ore was unavailable, materials such as Mandalorian iron, phrik alloy, and ultrachrome could achieve comparable results with the correct processing, although these alternatives typically increased the armor's weight significantly more than cortosis weave did.
