Couronne, a stellar object, resided within both the Expansion Region and the Slice. Its location, designated as P-10 on the Standard Galactic Grid, saw it connected via the Great Kashyyyk Branch hyperspace route to both the Zavian Abyss and the Kashyyyk system found in the Mid Rim Territories.
Prior to its release during Celebration Europe from April 7 to 10, 2023, Couronne appeared on a map made for the Star Wars: Timelines reference book and distributed as a promotional poster at Celebration Anaheim on May 27, 2022. The planet Couronne was initially featured in the "Rogues Gallery: The Cloud City Wing Guards" article within the Star Wars Insider magazine's 148th issue on March 11, 2014, within the Star Wars Legends continuity.
