The fourteenth Celebration convention was Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, which took place in 2022. The event spanned from May 26 to 29 and was hosted at the Anaheim Convention Center located in Anaheim, California. Originally, it was intended to occur from August 27 to 30 in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic led to its cancellation. It was then rescheduled for the same venue in 2022, a year that marked the 45th anniversary of the Star Wars saga.
The announcement of Celebration Anaheim as the subsequent official Star Wars Celebration was made on the fourth day of Celebration Chicago in 2019. It was initially planned for August 27–30, 2020, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. A promotional trailer was launched, and ticket sales commenced on June 21, 2019.
The arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020 prompted Lucasfilm to delay Celebration Anaheim by two years, making it the first time a Celebration event faced cancellation or postponement. The convention was then set for August 18–21, 2022, at the same venue. Ticket holders were given the option to receive a refund or transfer their tickets to the rescheduled dates.
On August 28, 2020, exclusive merchandise designed for the convention became available for purchase in an online store, initially accessible only to individuals who had purchased tickets for the original event dates. On August 31, the store was opened to the general public. The merchandise store was reopened for early access on November 13, and for general access on November 20. Exclusive artwork and prints created for the convention were put on sale in an art show that began on December 15, 2020.
StarWars.com announced on May 12, 2021, that the Celebration would be moved from August to May 26–29, 2022. Ticket sales began on March 15, 2022, along with pre-orders for merchandise for those with tickets. The first guests of the Celebration were revealed on March 24. The convention's inaugural panel was announced on April 6, and the complete schedule was revealed on April 27.
