Plot Synopsis

On Yinchorr, specifically on The Squall, Carnor Jax and Kir Kanos clash one last time. Only one will survive this encounter. They engage in a fierce battle, exchanging blows that nearly prove fatal. Jax utilizes his newly acquired understanding of the Force to hurl a rock at Kanos's helmet, briefly stunning him.

In the meantime, Mirith Sinn and Sish Sadeet arrive aboard Kanos's Skipray Blastboat and destroy Jax's transport. Blim, Jax's subservient henchman, has positioned himself on a high point overlooking The Squall, acting as a sniper. Sadeet notices a glint of light from Blim's location and goes to investigate. Sadeet finds Blim and shoots him at close range.

The sound of the shot reaches Kanos and Jax below, alerting Kanos to Jax's setup. Further fueled by rage, they continue their brutal fight. Jax gains the advantage, causing Kanos to fall off the edge of the platform, barely holding on with one hand. Just as Jax prepares to deliver the final blow, Sinn and Sadeet arrive, aiming their weapons at him and demanding his surrender. Jax laments not having killed Sinn earlier and leaves Kanos to deal with them. Although Sinn and Sadeet are wounded, their distraction allows Kanos to climb back onto the platform and run Jax through with his blade. In disbelief, Jax reminds Kanos that his allies wanted him alive. Kanos retorts that they were not his allies.

"So perish all traitors," Kanos declares over Jax's dying body.

Still desiring Jax alive, Sadeet charges at Kanos before he can strike the killing blow, but Kanos reacts too quickly, impaling Sadeet. Kanos removes Jax's helmet and leaves him for dead. Sinn, devastated by Sadeet's sudden demise, questions why Kanos did not reciprocate their assistance. He responds that he never requested their aid. As Kanos departs, Sinn asks him who he will fight now that Jax is dead. "There are others," he replies.

Lieutenant Massimo arrived on Phaeda shortly after Kanos's departure, discovering Sinn completing Sadeet's burial. When Massimo inquires about Kanos's whereabouts, Sinn replies that he is simply gone. Sinn also vows to find Kanos and kill him when she does...
