Cularin Government

The Thaereian military exerted control over the Cularin Government, which functioned as a military administration overseeing the Cularin system. Approximately in 31 BBY, the Ithorian Herdship Bazaar visited Cularin, attracting many local sightseers. A rumor spread among these visitors, alleging that the Wyrd, a coven of dark side Tarasin witches, were secretly infiltrating the Cularin Government.

During the Clone Wars, certain factions within the Cularin Government grew apprehensive due to the rapid mobilization of the Cularin Militia, a nationalist armed force that was founded and led by Osten Dal'Nay. Around this time, the anarchist group known as the Liana Liberators targeted the Cularin Government, sliced into their computer systems, and illegally exfiltrated data. The Wyrd and the Believers Sith cult conspired, creating a scheme to falsely accuse the Cularin Government and the Jedi Order of collaborating with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Representatives from both nefarious groups then convened with the Confederacy to strategize on the implementation of this deceitful plan.

Following a debate in the Galactic Senate concerning the Thaereian military's presence on Cularin, the Galactic Republic granted Cularin self-governance and subsequently expelled the Thaereian military from the system.
