The Cyban Front was a syndicate of criminals that collaborated with the Droid Gotra in the Age of the Empire. At the Auction of Rur which was held on the Sorca Retreat, the Cyban Front, acting as representatives for a multitude of groups, dispatched a pair of droids with the objective of obtaining and then eliminating the Rur crystal. These droids were unsuccessful in their bid for the crystal; furthermore, they were obliterated during a skirmish. This conflict occurred after 0-0-0 and BT-1 had placed the Rur crystal within one of the Cyban Front's automaton agents. Contained within this new robotic frame, Rur then initiated a destructive spree across the station, resulting in the deaths of many individuals before Darth Vader ultimately subdued it.
