Outpost D-34
Designation: Outpost D-34 was an Imperial control point situated in orbit above the world Javin, which resided within the Javin sector. The primary installation was a Bengel Shipbuilders XQ1 Platform, which housed both TIE/LN starfighters and stormtrooper deployment craft. Navigational markers, positioned several kilometers away from the platform, indicated the locations of hyperspace disengagement.
History
In the aftermath of the Battle of Hoth, D-34 served as an interception station to ensnare escaping Rebel Alliance starships. Imperial units sought to trap Alliance warships within the Javin system, enabling ambushes launched from D-34. Maarek Stele was reassigned to the outpost just prior to the battle and played a key role in the capture of numerous Rebels fleeing Hoth aboard transport ships that traversed the vicinity of D-34.
The station and its strategic location proved effective enough to provoke the animosity of the Alliance and local pirates. When the station was subjected to attack, Stele mounted a defense of the platform against a combined force consisting of Rebels and Mugaari pirates. A shuttle carrying Rebel officers was seized during the resulting engagement.
Subsequently, D-34 was seized and looted by the Alliance and Mugaari while Maarek Stele was intercepting an illicit weapons transaction between the Mugaari and the Rebels. During that time, he was assigned to the frigate Fogger within the Tungra sector. Ultimately, the Fogger returned to D-34, and Imperial forces reclaimed the platform.
