Daraala was a female Human salvager who operated on the planet Dantooine.
She claimed to have been a salvager on Dantooine longer than any of the other remaining individuals in that profession.
Daraala and Jorran came across Suulru's abandoned moisture vaporator at some point. Jorran recounted that Daraala discovered it first, but only took the modulator because she was already carrying a significant amount of other salvage. After Jorran sold the damaged vaporator to Suulru, he won the modulator from Daraala in a game of stones.
When Meetra Surik arrived at the salvager's camp, Daraala requested that Surik locate the bodies of two deceased salvagers. She offered Surik 500 credits for each body, stating that she wanted to provide them with a proper burial. However, Jorran knew that Daraala's true motive was to acquire a large quantity of salvage that the two deceased salvagers, along with two others, had obtained from the ruins of the Jedi Enclave. The reason behind her scheme was that the four salvagers had discovered the most significant amount of salvage within the ruins of the Jedi Enclave. They then attempted another salvage operation, but only two of them survived, and a third died from his injuries. The survivor then initiated a conflict with Gerevick after losing a game of pazaak. With all four dead, their salvage was left inside the headquarters of the Khoonda Militia.
Other salvagers had been trying to claim the salvage by falsely claiming that they were owed by the deceased salvagers or that they were related to them. However, Zherron was not deceived and would only accept a valid will as proof. One of the deceased salvagers in the Enclave had a poorly written will stating that his possessions should be given to another salvager if the latter were to die, rendering the will useless since the other salvager was also dead. Daraala planned to deceive Zherron by using the bodies and a fabricated will to obtain a significant profit. Surik likely gave the bodies and the will she found to Zherron. As a result, Zherron would still be required to safeguard the salvage.
Daraala traded in Jedi artifacts, including crystals, robes, and lightsaber components, but at prices considerably higher than the average market rate. Given the rarity of Jedi artifacts following the Jedi Civil War, it is plausible that Surik may have purchased some items from her.
If the player is unaware of Daraala's true intentions and provides her with the corpses, she will offer the player the promised reward.
The player has the option to refuse the reward, which grants them light side points for declining the offer.
Alternatively, upon discovering the bodies, the player may have the opportunity to alter the will left by one of the deceased salvagers to indicate that his possessions should be given to the player upon his death, and then present it to Zherron. This action results in dark side points, as it involves personal gain and interference with a deceased person's final wishes.
Regardless of the player's choices regarding the First Battle of Dantooine, Daraala expresses her gratitude for driving away either the settlers or the mercenaries.
