Plot summary

Continuity

A quick flashback image depicting Han Solo undergoing torture on Bespin showcases the Scan Grid from Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, complete with numerous long, sharp needles. [Irvin Kershner](/article/irvin_kershner], who directed the film, had originally captured additional footage of Han's torture, revealing the machine in operation with visible spikes, needles, and electronic components, accompanied by flashes of electricity. These scenes were ultimately removed due to the filmmakers' concerns that they might be too intense for younger viewers.
