Datacron
Here is a reworded version of the MDX content, preserving all meaning and markdown syntax:
A Rakata datacron
A data holocron, often referred to as a datacron, represented a specific type of holocron accessible even to individuals who were not Force-sensitives. Their primary function involved the secure storage of encrypted information. An instance of this involves Revan and Malak, who utilized a datacron to store confidential data, concealing it on Rekkiad within the region known as the Twin Spears, alongside Mandalore's Mask. Subsequently, Canderous Ordo, accompanied by a redeemed Revan and other Mandalorians, journeyed back to retrieve Mandalore's Mask.
Behind the scenes
Within the game Star Wars: The Old Republic, datacrons manifest as compact cubes strategically placed throughout the game world. These objects bestow either bonus points to a particular stat or a matrix shard. To enhance their visibility, datacrons emit a radiant glow, projecting a colored beam of light skyward. Furthermore, an ambient sound emanates from datacrons when one is in close proximity.
